The database will not carry you far
Replit DB and stray SQLite files are fine for a demo and painful at scale. We migrate to managed Postgres with backups you can actually restore.
Cold starts your customers will feel
First-request latency that reads as "broken" to anyone you are trying to impress. Fixed by real hosting.
No custom domain or certificate discipline
A replit.dev URL undercuts everything else you have built. We get you on your own domain with automatic TLS.
